David Pendergrass took two titles at the MWC Indoor Championships to help the team effort.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The BYU men's and women's track and field teams were each named as the All-Mountain West Conference Indoor Track and Field Teams Tuesday.
The men won the MWC Indoor Championships and had 18 All-MWC honorees Saturday. Among those honorees were nine first-place finishers. Matthew Anderson took the title in the long jump, Josh McAdams in the mile, Robbie Pratt in the pole vault, David Pendergrass in the high jump and triple jump, and McAdams, Jason Dorais, Jacob Gustafsson and Nate Rencher in the distance medley relay.
BYU topped the women's list as well with nine All-MWC selections ahead of Colorado State's eight. The women took second at the Championships, trailing the rams by just one point. First place finishers included:
Michelle Lindsay in the 800 meters, Kamila Rywelska in the triple jump, and Challis Firl, Anne Heiner, Michelle Lindsay and Mindy Neeley in the distance medley relay.
