PROVO -- The BYU women's and men's track and field squads will compete at the Arizona State Invitational on Saturday, with the field events starting at 10 a.m. PT and running events starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Cougars are coming off their outdoor season opener at the Dave Murray/Willie Williams last week.

A strong men's 1500 meters will highlight Saturday's meet. Arizona State runner Kyle Alcorn, who won the 3000 meters at the 2008 Indoor National Championships, will be competing in the event. BYU's Kyle Perry, who finished third in the 3000 meters at indoor nationals, and Dustin Bybee, who ran a 4:01.20 in the mile in the indoor season, will also be in the race.

BYU will have eight women's runners in the 3000 meters. BYU sophomore Cecily Lemmon will look to improve on her indoor 3000-meter time of 9:42.14.

Arizona State's men's and women's teams won the 2008 Indoor National Championships.
