PROVO -- The Cougars will return to action on Saturday in Provo as they host what will be their final tournament of the spring season in the Smith Fieldhouse.
"This spring has been very important for us," said BYU head coach Jason Watson. "Saturday is our final opportunity to build on the progress we have made as a team, and we look forward to the chance to do so against such high-quality competition."
The day's opening matches will begin at 9 a.m. with BYU vs. Snow College on Court 1 and Utah vs. Salt Lake Community College on Court 2. Pool play will continue throughout the morning. The afternoon matches will pit the top two teams from each court against each other and the third and fourth place teams from each court against each other.
BYU is guaranteed matches against Snow College, Utah State, Colorado State and Washington State and could potentially face SLCC, UNLV and/or Utah. The Cougars were 6-3 last season against the 2006 spring tournament opponents they played, which includes Utah, UNLV, Utah State and Colorado State.
