PROVO -- The men's volleyball team placed 12 players on the 2004-05 Student Athlete Academic Center Scholar Athlete list that was announced earlier in the semester.
The SAAC honors those athletes that demonstrate academic excellence along with their achievements on the field and the court. Students must earn at least a 3.2 GPA in either the fall or winter semester to gain a spot on the list.
Among the volleyball players recognized were 2005 second-team All-Americans Michael Burke and Ivan Perez, both of whom earned second-team status in the MPSF, and Rob Neilson, a 2005 All-MPSF Honorable Mention performer.
