- Led Chandler High School to three consecutive state titles
- Threw for more than 10,000 yards in high school with 102 touchdowns
- Averaged 259 passing yards per game as a varsity player
- As a senior, went 223 for 327 and 3,306 yards and 38 touchdowns
- Threw for more than 3,000 yards in each of his three seasons
- Also added 560 rushing yards in career with eight scores on the ground
- Teammate of BYU wide receiver Gunner Romney in 2017
- Competed in the sprints on the track team at Chandler HS
