Nick Killpack - Men's Golf - Senior - St. George, Utah

Nick enjoyed a solid month of golf as he placed in the top 10 at the Fresno State Lexus Classic and followed it up with a strong performance at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate.

At the Fresno State Lexus Classic, he came in ninth place overall at 1-over-par in a field of 104 golfers. He ended the first round at 1-under 71 and finished the third round at even-par after scoring four birdies. His strong performance helped the Cougars to a sixth-place finish in the 20-team tournament. The ninth-place finish was his best of the season and third best of his BYU career.

Killpack was consistent throughout the month as he finished the Morris Williams Intercollegiate in 29th place overall at 15-over-par. He improved his stroke amount in each successive round, completing the tournament with a 3-over-par third round after making three birdies on the day. With the effort, he jumped from the No. 51 individual spot after two rounds to his final mark at No. 29.

His stroke average of 74.20 is third best on the team.

Chie Hayasaka - Women's Tennis - Junior - Toyko, Japan

Junior Chie Hayasaka had a perfect 6-0 record to start conference play this weekend. The junior came back from losing the first set in her match against CSU’s Tori Arneson to earn her first victory of the weekend and defeated her remaining opponents in straight sets. Hayasaka paired with Liza Ezhova and Jocelyn Jensen to record three doubles wins.

Evan Urbina - Men's Tennis - Sophomore - Huntington Beach, California

Evan Urbina went 6-0 in the last three home matches of the season for the Cougars. Domination was the word of the weekend for the sophomore who didn’t drop a single set en route to three singles victories. He and partner Cassidy Mears easily won all three of their doubles matches, clinching the doubles point for BYU in the match against Montana State.

Kent Walton - Baseball - Senior - Yucaipa, California

Kent Walton, a senior designated hitter from Yucaipa, Calif., got BYU off to a first-inning lead with a two-run homer in the 15-13 victory at No. 20 New Mexico. Walton was 4-for-5 in that victory. In the 7-5 loss at UNM he was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles. Walton is tied for the team lead with an 11-game hitting streak. Last week he raised his batting average from .391 to .423.
