Against the North Dakota State Bison she recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 16 kills and 13 digs. Against UNLV she had 14 kills, nine digs and seven blocks – including two solo blocks. Walker has led BYU in match-high kills in every game since November 6, 2008.

Miles Batty – Men’s Cross Country – Sophomore – Sandy, Utah

Sophomore Miles Batty is enjoying a spectacular sophomore season as he came in third place out of 96 runners at the Bill Dellinger Invitational, a prestigious meet with over half the teams ranked. He arrived in third behind two prolific runners from No. 10 Alabama, losing by just two seconds to the leader to help No. 12 BYU to a second-place finish over No. 1 Oregon and No. 8 Portland. Batty finished the 8K race in a career-best 23:39, two seconds better than his MWC-leading 23:41 finish at the UC Riverside Invitational two weeks ago. The mark is his third top-five finish of the season as he has finished in first place in two other meets.

Cecily Lemmon-Lew – Women’s Cross Country – Junior – Vacaville, Calif.

Junior Cecily Lemmon-Lew is enjoying her 2009 campaign as she came in first place out of 123 runners at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, her second individual victory of the season in as many races. She finished the 5K course in 17 minutes flat, beating No. 10 Illinois' Angela Bazzarri by three seconds and breaking a Thomas Zimmer Championship Course record in the process. The time is the second-best in the MWC, 28 seconds behind her own league-leading 16:32 mark set two weeks ago at the UC Riverside Invitational. It is also the third-best 5K time of her career as her position helped the No. 23 Cougars to fourth place out of 12 teams, seven of which were nationally ranked.

Harvey Unga – Football (Offensive) – Junior – Provo, Utah

BYU junior running back Harvey Unga rushed for season-high 118 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries in BYU’s 35-17 victory over Utah State Friday night. He averaged 5.6 yards per carry and converted six first down runs for the Cougars.

Unga ground out 46 first-quarter yards to help BYU possess the ball for nearly 10 minutes in the opening quarter and overcome an early 7-0 deficit. He converted on fourth-and-one with a three-yard run to maintain the BYU drive that evened the score at 7-7 and helped set up BYU’s early second-quarter touchdown to put BYU up 14-7. After sitting out nearly the entire second quarter nursing an existing broken finger injury, Unga became the key catalyst in helping BYU maintain its lead in the second half, running for 75 yards, including 50 yards in the fourth quarter. Unga put BYU ahead 28-10 early in the final quarter when he ran for 23 yards to set up his own eight-yard touchdown run to give the Cougars a quick 2-play, 31-yard scoring possession. Unga’s season-high 118-yard individual performance propelled BYU to a season-best 213 team rushing yards on the night. Despite some limited early action, including missing the first game of the year, Unga now leads the MWC with 345 yards rushing on the season.

Jan Jorgensen – Football (Defensive) – Senior – Helper, Utah

Senior defensive end Jan Jorgensen helped BYU hold a Utah State team averaging 222.3 yards rushing per game to just 109 yards on the ground. The MWC’s all-time sack leader added to his career total with his first sack of the season while totaling a season-high eight tackles, including a season-best five assisted tackles. With his one tackle for a loss, he is now five away from the MWC career record in that category. He added three solo takedowns against the Aggies and also recorded a tackle on kick return coverage. Jorgensen held Utah State’s runner to two or fewer yards on five of his seven tackles on defensive sets, including three tackles of one yard or less. Jorgensen helped set the defensive tone for the Cougars in the first quarter. After Utah State scored on a short field after a BYU turnover to open the game, the four-year starter and team captain made two of the three tackles on Utah State’s next possession, including a sack on third down to force a USU punt. The BYU offense scored on the next possession to give BYU its first lead at 14-7. Jorgensen also made a play during a third-quarter USU first-and-goal opportunity at the BYU 5-yard line to force a USU field goal and not allow the Aggies to get within one score of the BYU advantage.

Mitch Payne – Football (Special Teams) – Junior – North Ogden, Utah

BYU junior placekicker Mitch Payne converted each of his five point-after-touchdown attempts to contribute to BYU's 35-17 victory over Utah State Friday night. This marks the third game this year the junior has made five or more PATs in a game. He has converted 23-of-24 overall and is second on the team in total scoring with 29 points on the season.
