BYU will head east for the second straight week to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast live on the Fox Sports Network, ESPN3 and KSL Radio 1160 AM, 102.7 FM and ksl.com.

For those in the Utah area, the game will be broadcast live on ROOT Sports (Utah – Directv: 684; Dish Network: 437/446; Comcast: 52/693).

SERIES INFORMATION
This is just the third meeting of BYU and Georgia Tech. The series is tied 1-1 with each team winning their respective home games. BYU won the last matchup in 2003, a 24-13 score in Provo and the Yellow Jackets took the game in 2002 with a 28-19 win in Atlanta.

BYU AND THE ACC
BYU is 2-8 against the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Cougars’ two wins came at Virginia in 2000 (38-35) and vs. Georgia Tech in 2003 (24-13). Mendenhall is 0-4 vs. the ACC while at BYU.

AVOIDING A BAD STREAK
The Cougars are looking to avoid a three-game losing skid. BYU has lost three games or more in a row only one other time in the Mendenhall era, a four-game streak in 2010. Georgia Tech just bounced back with a win over Boston College after dropping three in a row.

RECEIVER STREAKS
BYU wide receiver Cody Hoffman has a caught a pass in 27 straight games, tied for the 10th longest streak in the nation. He has caught a pass in 33 of 34 career games. Georgia Tech running back Tony Zenon has caught a pass in four straight to lead the Yellow Jackets.

STRENGTH VS. STRENGTH
Georgia Tech brings the No. 3 rushing offense against BYU’s No. 8 ranked rushing defense. The Yellow Jackets are averaging 339.57 rushing yards per game with their option attack. The Cougars  are allowing 93.13 yards on the ground per game.

FORMER YELLOW JACKET
BYU strength and conditioning coach Jay Omer spent eight years at Georgia Tech. Omer served as the director of player development, responsible for overseeing the strength and conditioning program for Tech’s 16-sport athletics program.

RUSHING TOUCHDOWNS
Georgia Tech’s Tevin Washington has 15 rushing scores while as a team BYU has 13 total. Washington’s 15 are No. 2 nationally. Cougar running back Jamaal Williams leads BYU with 5 rushing touchdowns. The Yellow Jackets have scored 30 rushing touchdowns to lead the FBS.
