BYU finishes three-game road trip on Saturday against Saint Mary’s

PROVO, Utah – BYU finishes its three-game road trip on Saturday, Feb. 19, when the Cougars travel to Moraga, Calif. to face Saint Mary’s. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. MST at University Credit Union Pavilion.  

Saturday’s contest will be broadcast on ESPN2. It will also be broadcast live on BYU Sports Network and BYU Radio – Sirius XM 143/89.1 FM HD2 and KSL 102.7 FM/1160 AM.

BYU Notes (19-8, 7-5 West Coast Conference)

  • The Cougars are on a two-game winning streak following wins over Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine last week in Southern California. BYU enters Saturday’s contest at 19-8 overall and 7-5 in West Coast Conference play.
  • Alex Barcello scored a career-high 33 points against Pepperdine, finishing 10-of-12 from the field, 9-of-10 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. His nine 3-pointers were the second-most in a single game in program history.
  • A win on Saturday would give BYU four straight wins over the Gaels, their longest streak in the series since winning the first six games played between the two programs.

  • The Gaels own the ninth-best scoring defense in NCAA Division I men’s basketball, holding opponents to 59.7 points per game.
  • Matthias Tass is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Gaels, as the senior from Tallinn, Estonia is averaging 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game.
