DETROIT -- BYU senior guard Lee Cummard has been selected to play in the 2009 Hershey’s College All-Star game as part of Final Four Friday at Ford Field. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) assembled the rosters that are made up entirely of college seniors.

Tip-off is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. on Friday and admission is free. The game will be televised live on CBS College Sports HD.

Cummard will play for the Hershey’s All-Stars coached by Nolan Richardson, who led Arkansas to four Final Fours and the NCAA title in 1994. Missouri head coach Mike Anderson will serve as the assistant coach. The Hershey’s All-Stars will take on the Reese’s All-Stars, coached by Illinois head coach Bruce Weber and Purdue head coach Matt Painter.

As a senior, Cummard led BYU to its third-straight MWC regular season title and a third-consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament. He earned first-team all-MWC honors, was named all-district by the NABC and the United States Basketball Writers Association and was tabbed a fourth-team All-American by FOXSports.com. From April 8-11 he will play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

The Hershey’s All-Stars include several 2009 NCAA Tournament participants, including Justin Dentmon (Washington), Ben Woodside (North Dakota State), Josh Carter (Texas A&M), Luke Nevill (Utah) and either DeMarre Carroll or Matt Lawrence of Missouri.
