SAN MATEO, Calif. – Following a sweep of No. 25 Baylor, HannahJo Peterson and Autumn Moffat-Korth were named the West Coast Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, the conference announced Monday.

HannahJo Peterson finished the week with a .455 batting average in three games against No. 25 Baylor. The senior tabbed four runs on five hits including a double, triple and home run with four RBI. In her first at bat of the series, Peterson blasted a home run to give BYU an early lead against ranked Baylor and followed it up in the next game knocking a two-run triple to tie the game for the Cougars before stealing home which ultimately gave BYU the win.

Apart from her offensive presence in all three games, Peterson rocketed a ball from right field to the shortstop throwing out the baserunner in the first inning of the second game, preventing the Bears from getting into scoring position while also recording a diving catch in the outfield.

Moffat-Korth finished the week with a 2-0 record, throwing 14 innings for two complete games against No. 25 Baylor. The senior struck out nine batters while allowing only six runs and three walks. In the first game of the series, she allowed only one run against the Bears with four strikeouts and no extra-base hits and capped the week added five more strikeouts in her final win.

This is BYU's sixth and seventh WCC weekly awards this season and the second straight week the Cougars have swept the awards after Arissa Paulson won both Player and Pitcher of the Week during week six. This is Moffat-Korth's second award of the season while Rylee Jensen and Alyssa Podhurcak have been named Player of the Week once each.
