SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The West Coast Conference has named BYU’s Morgan Bailey the women’s basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 2, 2015. The weekly honor is the second for Bailey this year.

In the two road games the Cougars played this week, Bailey, a 6-foot-2 senior forward, recorded back-to-back double-doubles and became BYU’s 26th player to eclipse the program’s exclusive 1,000-point club. She guided BYU to two very important road wins and keeps the Cougars tied for second place in the league standings.

In the 68-63 road win at San Francisco, Bailey scored 19 points, grabbed a team-best 11 rebounds, had two assists, one block and one steal, while playing the entire game.

The rebounds were game highs and the points tied for game bests and put her over the 1,000-point mark.

At Santa Clara, Bailey recorded her second-straight double-double and the 11th of the year with 19 points and 12 rebounds.

For the week, she tallied 38 points, 23 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal and shot 50.0 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from the free-throw line.
