LOGAN, Utah – Five BYU gymnasts earned Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Specialist of the Week honors for their performances in No. 20 BYU's quad meet at Air Force.
Abbey Miner, Haley Pitou and Rebekah Bean shared Vault Specialist of the Week honors after scoring a 9.850 to take the title at the meet. All three gymnasts recorded career highs on the event. Boise State's Shani Remme also shared the award.
Helody Cyrenne's career-best 9.950 on the uneven bars led her to be the sole honoree for week 5.
Evans extended her weekly honor streak to five as she was named Floor Specialist for the second time this season. She scored a 9.925 to earn the title and aid her in recording a 39.125 in the all-around.
The Cougars will return to the Smith Fieldhouse on Friday, Feb. 15, for a MRGC meet against No. 10 Boise State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. MST.
