  • Parents are Dane and Gay Iorg
  • Has four brothers and three sisters
  • Father Dane (1969-71) and uncle Lee (1971-74) were All-Americans at BYU before pro baseball careers
  • Father Dane played 10 years for St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies
  • Brother Seth played baseball for BYU (2004-05) and prior to his pro career, cousin Isaac played for BYU (1999)
  • Uncle Garth played for the Toronto Blue Jays and is currently first base coach for the Milwaukee Brewers
  • Cousin Cale played for Alabama before being drafted and playing for the Detroit Tiger organization
  • Cousin Eli played for Tennessee before being drafted and playing for the Houston Astros
  • Court served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Sao Paulo, Brazil (2011-2013)
  • Is an Eagle Scout
  • Played summer ball for the Saskatoon Yellowjackets in Canada
  • Majoring in communications with an emphasis in public relations

  • Had a .316 batting average in league games
