What is the BYU ROC?
The ROC (Roar of Cougars) is the student section here at BYU. Formed in 2013, the ROC is known for being racous and rowdy at all BYU Home Athletic events. From football to softball, soccer to volleyball, we show up and show out. We are passionate about our teams, striving to create an electric atmosphere and competitive advantage for all our student athletes. We are a community that cares and strives to promote the values of BYU and Jesus Christ in our words and actions. We seek for excelence and growth in our fandom and support of BYU Athletics. We are proud of our accomplishements and are relentlessly chasing our goal to be the best student section in the world.

The ROC is a community of students at BYU that are focused on supporting our student athletes in all their endeavors. You can be a part of the BYU ROC through the purchase of a ROC Pass. If you are unable to purchase a ROC pass, you can still support the ROC by following us on social media. Learn more about the ROC Pass below!
A ROC pass is a pass that gives BYU students the opportunity to attend ticketed BYU Athletic events in the designated ROC sections. There are three types of ROC passes:
The standard ROC Pass
- The standard ROC pass is available to all degree seaking and Flex GE BYU students.
- Standard ROC Pass holders have the opportunity to attend all ticketed BYU Athletic Events on a first come first serve basis.
The Spousal ROC Pass
- The Spousal ROC Pass is for the spouses of BYU students.
- Spousal ROC Pass holders have the opportunity to attend all ticketed BYU Athletic Events on a first come first serve basis.
Olympic Sports ROC Pass
- The Olympic Sports ROC pass is available to all degree seaking and Flex GE BYU students and their spouses.
- Olympic Sports ROC Pass holders have the opportunity to attend all ticketed BYU Athletic Events except Football and Men's Basketball on a first come first serve basis.
A ROC ticket is how ROC Pass holders access entrance into Football and Men's Basketball games. There will be a ticket claim each game for ROC Pass Holders to gain access. These tickets are free with the purchase of a ROC Pass.
