- Played for Tim Bart at Bartlesville High School
- Averaged 18.6 points as a senior while leading Bartlesville High School to a 16-7 record and the Class 6A area playoffs
- Selected to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Large East Boys Basketball Team
- Ranked the third best player in the class of 2013 in the state of Oklahoma and No. 56 among power forwards nationally by ESPN.com
- As a junior averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game while shooting .496 from the field, .366 from three and .780 from the free throw line
- Named third-team all-state by Tulsa World
- Led Bartlesville to a record of 22-4 and a trip to the 6A state tournament
