Received recognition as an all-conference lineman...qualified for the state track and field meet in the discus...coached by Fred Girgis.

Played with the junior varsity team.
1985 | Redshirt Year
Redshirted.
1986 | Sophomore Year
Started season on second team and became started against Wyoming...started rest of the season...offensive lineman of the week vs. Wyoming and UTEP...first team WAC All-Academic selection.
1987 | Junior Year
Tore a tendon in his foot during two-a-days...bounced back to start every game at right tackle...honorable mention All-WAC.
