Career Summary

Paige Affleck finished her career as the top pitcher in BYU history, taking the top spots in multiple categories. When she graduated in 2011, she was the career and season leader wins, complete games, shutouts (career only), innings pitched, strikeouts (career only), ERA. In 2010, Affleck led the Cougars to their first appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals after defeating Texas in Austin in the NCAA Regionals. Following her post-season success, she was named to the Easton All-American Second Team. She was also named MWC Pitcher of the Year in 2010. In her career, she has one solo no-hitter and two no-hitters combined with other pitchers. Along with her achievements on the field, she excelled in the classroom, earning Mountain West Conference Academic honors all four years, including earning MWC Scholar Athlete honors each season as well.

2008 | Freshman Year

  • Was a major contributor on the BYU pitching staff as a freshman

2009 | Sophomore Year

  • Made 29 appearances and held a 19-10 record maintaining a 2.07 ERA
  • Struck out a season-high 12 batters for the second year in a row on Feb. 27 against Wisconsin
  • Defeated No. 7 Cal on March 20 at Sacramento, Calif.
  • With 199 strikeouts she beat her freshman total of 134
  • One win away from securing her first 20-win season which would make her the fourth pitcher in BYU history to achieve that record
  • Academic All-Mountain West Conference Team
  • Was named to the Bayer Cropscience All-Tournament team after going 3-0 at the tournament.
