Helped BYU win its fifth bowl game in the last six years and third straight. Led BYU offense that finished the season ranked No. 5 in third down conversions and average 405.7 yards per game. Promoted to Offensive Coordinator on Jan. 4, 2011 ... has coached 7 bowl games ... guided two of the most prolific passers in BYU history - John Beck and Max Hall ... Hall and Beck are second and third, respectively, in BYU history in pass completions, passing yards, and total offense.
Playing Career
Unanimous All-Mountain West Conference selection and Heisman Trophy candidate in 2001, leading the Cougars to a 12-2 season as a senior with 3,542 yards passing ... in 2001 he was 261-of-408 with 33 touchdown passes and rushed for 503 yards and eight touchdowns ... played three seasons as a quarterback in the NFL with San Francisco, Buffalo and Washington ... selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 2002 NFL Draft.
