Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah came to BYU from Ghana and joined the football team as a sophomore. As a three-time letterman he played in 31 games with nine starts. He recorded 72 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 10 pass breakups and seven quarterback hurries during his career. He notched a career-high eight tackles twice as a senior and helped BYU to a No. 3 national ranking in total defense the same season.
