Before BYU

  • All-Pacific League first-team wide receiver
  • As a senior, had 33 catches, 409 yards and three touchdowns, rushed 39 times for 258 yards and two scores, and returned 13 kicks for 394 yards, including a 99-yard return
  • Caught 52 passes for 857 yards and seven touchdowns and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns in 2011
  • Played defensive back for Glendale, recording 45 tackles as a senior
  • Also ran the 100-meters in 10.67 seconds and 200-meters in 21.4 seconds and finished seventh at the California state championship
  • Also recruited by Hawai’i, Iowa State, New Mexico State, Oregon, San Diego State and USC


2013 | Freshman Year

  • Made his first career-start against Nevada and recorded a career-high six tackles (all solo) and added a pass breakup in the win
  • Recorded five tackles and had one tackle for loss and a pass breakup against Idaho State
  • Saw extensive action at boundary corner against Notre Dame and had four tackles (three solo)
  • Played in nine games as a defensive back and started two 

2014 | Sophomore Year

  • Registered two pass breakups and career highs in total tackles (9) and solo tackles (8) vs. Nevada
  • Earned letterman honors as a sophomore
  • Played in all 13 games, starting eight of them
  • Recorded 43 tackles on the season and six pass breakups

2015 | Junior Year

  • Phil Steele Preseason All-Independent Second Team
  • Notched a season-high six tackles at Nebraska
  • Against East Carolina, had one forced fumble and four pass breakups, tying the BYU single-game record
  • Had five tackles including a half tackle for loss against Mizzou
  • Had two pass breakups against Fresno State, upping his career total to 17
  • Recorded one tackle for loss in the Las Vegas Bowl against Utah
  • Had 10 pass breakups and 27 total tackles during the season
  • Tied for No. 5 all-time in pass breakups at BYU since 2000
