Before BYU

  • Won the state championship as a senior and went undefeated
  • Earned all-state recognition as a tight end for three seasons and was also an all-state defensive end his junior and senior seasons
  • Was named the conference lineman of the year as a senior
  • Coached by Greg Lawrence
  • Also played lacrosse in high school
  • Also recruited by Eastern Washington, Western Oregon, Oregon and Boise State


2014 | Freshman Year

  • Saw action against Savannah State, recorded two tackles and a 0.5 tackle for loss and a recovered fumble

2015 | Sophomore Year

  • Switched from defense to offense, filling the role of tight end
  • Transitioned to running back during the season
  • Played in 10 games

2016 | Junior Year

  • Played in all 13 games, starting eight
  • Posted 13 receptions for 156 yards and two touchdowns
  • Caught a touchdown against Wyoming in the Poinsettia Bowl
  • Recorded his first receiving touchdown against Mississippi State in double overtime for the game-winning score
  • Career-high three receptions and 62 receiving yards against Toledo
  • Named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-Independent second team offense
