PROVO, Utah – BYU women’s golf head coach Carrie Roberts announced the signing of Ava Schroeder and Kanyanol Aramkul on Tuesday, who will join the Cougar squad in 2024.

"I am super excited for Kanyanol and Ava to join us next year,” said head coach Carrie Roberts. "At BYU, who you are as a person is just as important as how you play and the athlete that you are.  These two will fit perfectly into our system and the university as a whole. We are excited about the future and what they can bring to this team.”

Ava Schroeder

Schroeder will graduate from Twin Falls High School in Twin Falls, Idaho, in May of next year, where she took home the 2022 individual Idaho State 4A individual championship and propelled the team to the team championship.

"Ava is a perfect fit for our culture and has the potential to make a difference for us in the future,” said Roberts. “We are super excited about her growth potential as a member of our team.”

Kanyanol Aramkul

Aramkul is from Bangkok, Thailand, and attends Mahidol University International Demonstration School (MUIDS). Aramkul is a three-time qualifier for the IMG Junior World Golf Championship, as well as the champion of the 2022 Thailand Kids Golf Tour.

"Kanyanol has a great resume and could make an immediate impact for our team,” said Roberts. "She has had a successful junior career all over the world, and we are excited for the difference she could make and that she chose BYU.”

After the winter hiatus, the Cougars will resume their season at the FAU Paradise Invitational on Feb 5-6 in Boca Raton, Florida.
