The Cougars will face UCF for a third time this season in the second round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship
PROVO, Utah –No. 20 BYU opens the 2024 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship on Wednesday, March 13, when the Cougars face UCF at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Wednesday’s contest will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Rich Hollenberg and Chris Spatola on the call. It will also be broadcast live on KSL 102.7/1160 AM and BYURadio.org/BYU Radio app with Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant.
No. 20 BYU Cougars (22-9, 10-8 Big 12)
· The Cougars defeated Oklahoma State 85-71 in the regular season finale to secure the No. 5 seed for this week’s Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship.|
· BYU ranks sixth in the nation in bench points per game (32.9) after the second-unit scored 44 points in the win over the Cowboys.
· Jaxson Robinson was named the Big 12 Sixth Man of the Year after leading the Cougars in scoring during the regular season at 13.9 points per game.
