CLEVELAND – Lauren Gustin has accepted an invitation to participate in the nationally televised 2024 Women’s College All-Star Game. Gustin will join 19 other seniors who will suit up for their respective programs one last time at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State on April 6 with tip-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The Women’s College All-Star Game will provide 20 of the country’s brightest stars one final opportunity to represent their programs and be recognized against the backdrop of the sport’s championship weekend. Intersport, an award-winning Chicago-based agency that first launched a national women’s college basketball all-star event alongside the WBCA 25 years ago, will host the event.

Gustin led the nation with 30 double-doubles in 33 games (2nd - 26), total rebounding with 504 rebounds (2nd - 410), rebounding average with 15.3 boards per game (2nd - 13.2), defensive rebounds per game with 10.1 (2nd - 9.4) and is second in offensive rebounds per game at 5.1, trailing only LSU's Angel Reese (5.5).

The senior is a two-time AP Honorable Mention All-American and was named to the All-Big 12 First Team this season, her fourth All-Conference First Team honor in four seasons, since transferring to BYU from Salt Lake Community College in 2019.

With her 504 rebounds this year, Gustin became the fourth-ranked rebounder in the history of NCAA women’s basketball and shattered the BYU all-time rebounding record with 1,694 career rebounds and counting. She is now a two-time All-American, a four-time all-conference first-team honoree and the 2023 WCC Defensive Player of the Year.

Gustin will suit up for a team coached by Nancy Lieberman or Cheryl Miller, who are both Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers. The complete rosters for Team Lieberman and Team Miller will be announced the week of the game, while individual player commitments will be announced on a rolling basis in the coming days.

About the Women’s College All-Star Game:

Twenty-five years after launching a national women’s college basketball all-star event, Intersport has re-introduced the Women’s College All-Star Game as an annual showcase spotlighting the country’s elite players. These standouts, who will be exhausting their collegiate eligibility and are on the precipice of hearing their names called in the WNBA Draft, will have one final opportunity to represent their programs and be recognized against the backdrop of the sport’s championship weekend. Intersport launched the inaugural Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-Star Challenge in 1998, which the WBCA operated through 2006.  Additional information on the event is available at womenscollegeallstar.com.
