BYU women's golf set for Big 12 Championships

BYU women’s golf is slated to compete in its first Big 12 Women’s Championship tournament, hosted by the Big 12 Conference at Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley, Texas on April 18-20.

HOCKLEY, Texas – BYU women’s golf is slated to compete in its first Big 12 Women’s Championship tournament, hosted by the Big 12 Conference at Houston Oaks Country Club in Hockley, Texas on April 18-20. 

"We couldn't be more excited to play our first Big 12 Conference championship this week," BYU head coach Carrie Roberts said. "The conference does a great job of making the student-athletes feel special, and we hope to have our best stuff this week."

The Cougar squad will consist of Lila Galeai, Lily McCauley, Alexa Udom, Maria Jose Barragan, and Berlin Long, with Adeline Wach traveling as a substitute. 

BYU is coming into the tournament ranked No. 12 in the conference, with Texas taking the top spot. The Cougars will be paired with No. 13 Cincinnati in the tournament's first two rounds. 

BYU will tee off in Thursday’s first round beginning at 8:35 am CDT, with the Cougars and Bearcats starting on the back nine.
