- Selected by the Downtown Coaches as the Outstanding Baseball Player of 1975
- Led the Cougars to WAC Northern Division titles every year he played
Before BYU
- Prepped at Punahou High where he was voted the Most Insirational Player in 1972
- Played for the 1972 Hawaii State Championship Baseball team with an undefeated season, catching a perfect game in the final game
- Earned a total of six letters in baseball, basketball and football
- Coached by Pal Eldredge, former BYU catcher
Post BYU Honors and Societies
- Inducted into the BYU Hall of Fame in 1988
