Few universities have a fan base as loyal, dedicated and die-hard as BYU. Cougar fans are some of the greatest fans on Earth. Since the Marriott Center opened in 1971, BYU has ranked in the top 25 nationally in paid attendance every year but four. In 2010-11, the Cougars were No. 6 in the nation and posted eight sellouts in the Marriott Center.
With its affiliation with the LDS Church, BYU also has a strong national and international following that supports the Cougars both home and away. Fans across the nation will have a greater opportunity to follow the Cougars beginning in 2011 with its affiliation with BYUtv and the West Coast Conference's eight-year contract extension with ESPN.
