ITHACA, NY — BYU gymnastics had nine gymnasts named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-Americans, the association announced Tuesday.

To be named a WCGA Scholastic All-American, a gymnast must have a minimum of a 3.5 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year.

The Cougars combined for a 3.218 GPA, while the nine WCGA All-Americans earned a 3.5 or higher.

Overall, the association had 53 teams and 1,056 student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or more. Of these student-athletes, 223 achieved a 4.0 GPA. This is the third year in a row where more than 1,000 student athletes were awarded All-American honors.
