Western Nebraska Community College
- Played two seasons at Western Nebraska Community College for Russell Beck and was a team captain
- As a sophomore in 2011-12 led WNCC to a 26-7 record, averaged 18.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game while shooting .485 from the field, .433 from three and .768 from the free throw line
- Hit 93 3-pointers on the season and posted season highs of 45 points, 12 threes, 7 assists and 6 steals
- Junior College MVP in Nebraska
Springville High School
- Averaged 16.8 points as a senior and led Springville to the 4A state quarterfinals
- During the summer of 2011 represented Mexico in the World University Games and averaged 5.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals
- Earned honorable mention All-America honors
- Played football at Springville and was recruited to play football at Utah
