Enjoys eating Mexican food, playing beach volleyball, hanging out with his four brothers, playing soccer, skateboarding and snowboarding...became interested in playing volleyball after playing beach volleyball at Lake Tahoe...played for the Las Vegas Juniors club team...came to BYU to "win a national championship."
Before BYU
Chosen as a first team All-American his sophomore and senior years at Clark High School in Elko, Nev. ...played for Mike Delasandro at Orange Coast Junior College...chosen as a junior college second team All-American... named most valuable player at junior college championships.
