- Dad Tino is the women's volleyball head coach at the Univeristy of Hawaii at Hilo
- Enjoys surfing
- Majoring in exercise science
- Graduated high school with honors
- Also recruited by Cal State Northridge and Hawai'i
Before BYU
- Lettered in volleyball three years
- Second Team All-ILH junior and senior year
- First-Team all-state as a senior
- Second-team all-state as a junior
- Star Advertiser Fab 15 selection as a junior and senior
- Played wtih the Outrigger Canoe Club with his dad as a coach
- Received a gold medal at the Junior Olympics (15's) and Silver Medal (18's)
- Redshirted at Cal State Northridge before transfering to BYU
