  • Parents are Danny and Michelle Ainge
  • Father Danny played at BYU (All-American and 1981 Wooden Award recipient), played in the NBA from 1981-95 (NBA champion in 1984 and 1986, NBA All-Star in 1988), coached the Phoenix Suns and is the current executive director of basketball operations for the Boston Celtics
  • Has three brothers and two sisters
  • Brother Austin played basketball at BYU from 2002 to 2007 and earned All-MWC Honorable Mention honors in 2005 and 2007

Before BYU

  • Prepped at Wellesley High School
  • Averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game as a senior
  • Posted season highs of 26 points, 5 threes, 8 assists and 5 steals
  • Led the Raiders to a record of 14-9 overall and 10-7 in league play
