Parents are George and Marilyn ... married Suzi Clark in Salt Lake City ... economics major.

Before BYU

HIgh School - George won all-conference and special honors in four sports at Burnsville High ... was all-Metro in Twin Cities ... all-state in Minnesota ... set school records in interceptions, TDs, receptions and yardage ... in 1973 burnsville went 12-0 and were state champs ... they used Geroge as a kicker, punter, and, safety and return specialist ... coached by Richard Hanson ... alos made the honor roll, advanced placement achievment. 

1973 | Freshman Year

Broke foot. 

1974 | Redshirt Year

1975 | Sophomore Year

Earned a starting berth split end in '75 but suffered a hyper-extension of the elbow against CSU ... missed most of the season thereafter.

1976 | Junior Year

Outstanding reciever ... best known for Harris-Deep call against Arizona ... pulled that one out on a string with 14 seconds left in the game, he caught a 43-yard pass for game winning TD ... tied WAC record for longest non-scoring pass, 68 yards from Nielsen vs. Utah State ... had three TDs in 12 receptions for 327 yards.
