1980 | Freshman Year

Began punting with the jayvee and had a 54.5 average ... had a 56-yard field goal ... did a lot of kickoffs and some PATs with the varsity.

1983 | Junior Year

Handled both punting and place kicking duties ... hit 26 consecutive extra points before missing vs. San Diego State ... set an NCAA record with a 60.4 yard average in five punts vs. Wyoming ... one punt vs. Wyoming was an 80-yarder, a school record ... led NCAA in punting in initial week of the 1983 season and would have won the title but had insufficient attempts (24) to qualify ... kicked a 50-yard field goal vs. Utah State ... finished the season making 23 consecutive extra points.
