2009-2010 | Freshman Year

  • Competed in nine meets of the season for the Cougars
  • Took first in the 200 IM in a meet against UNLV as well as the 1000 free in a meet against Seattle University
  • Took first in the 400 IM (3:53.51) and finished eighth in the 200 IM (1:52.39) at the Swimming and Diving Championships
  • Ranked first for the team in the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.51 that earns him the spot as fourth all-time in BYU history
  • Ranked second for the Cougars in the 1000 free with a time of 10:00.32
  • Ranked fourth for the team in the 200 breast as well as fifth in both 200 fly and 100 breast
  • Also ranked sixth in the 200 free for BYU
  • Received the MWC Academic All-Conference award
  • Ranked first in the conference overall for the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.51

  • Recorded a first-place finish in the 200 IM (1:54.06) at the Intermountain Shootout
  • Recorded a first-place finish and Richards Building pool record in the 400 IM (3:59.41) against Colorado Mesa
  • Recorded a first-place finish in the 200 free (1:42.99) against Colorado Mesa
  • Named MPSF/TURBO Male Athlete of the Week Oct. 30
  • Named MPSF/TURBO Male Athlete of the Week Dec. 11
  • Broke the BYU all-time record for the 400 IM (3:45.38) in the Texas Invitiational
  • Recorded a first-place finish in the 200 IM (1:53.60) against Denver
  • In exhibition, finished in first place in the 200 IM (1:51.62) against Seattle to break the Connolly Pool record
  • Contributed to a first-place finish in the 400 free (3:06.62) against Seattle
