Before BYU
- Reclassified to play one year of prep school at Link Year for Antonio McKenzie in Branson, Missouri
- Averaged 18 points, five rebounds and three assists while shooting 42 percent from 3
- During the summer of 2016, played for Team Fast on the Adidas Uprising circuit where he averaged 12.9 points and shot 44 percent from downtown
- Played at Borah High School for coach Cary Cada
- As a senior in 2015-16, averaged 15.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.4 blocks and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 53 percent from the floor and 41 percent from 3-point range
- Led Borah (23-3) to the semifinals of the 5A state tournament and a win in the consolation game
- Named first-team all-state as a senior by the Idaho Statesman and USA Today
- Named second-team all-state as a junior by USA Today
