Cody Fueger

Cody Fueger was hired as BYU’s director of basketball operations in May 2013. Fueger comes to BYU with 11 years of experience in college basketball at four different programs, including stops at Utah State, UC Riverside, Louisiana Tech and Utah.

In 2012-13, Fueger was the director of basketball operations at Utah State. He was responsible for the program’s daily office operations, served as the team’s travel coordinator and edited scout and game film. Fueger also assisted with the team’s international scouting, public and community relations and served as summer camp coordinator.

Prior to Utah State, Fueger served as director of operations for the UC Riverside men’s basketball team during the 2011-12 season. At UC Riverside he oversaw the administrative aspects of the program including community outreach, practice coordination, film exchange, travel and the hiring and supervision of graduate assistants and student managers. 

From 2007 to 2011, Fueger was the director of operations at Louisiana Tech. His responsibilities at Louisiana Tech included film exchange, scouting video, on-campus recruiting and directing graduate assistants and team managers.

Fueger got his start in college basketball at Utah, where he served as the video coordinator and student assistant for five years for the men’s basketball team.

A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Fueger earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Utah in 2006. A year later he earned his master's degree from Utah in parks, recreation and tourism-sports management. Fueger and his wife Danielle have a daughter, Isabella.
