Of Note
Helped BYU receivers combine for 22 receiving touchdowns and 2,072 yards in 2011. A receiver at BYU from 1995-97, Cahoon returns to his alma mater after a 13-year professional career in which he became the Canadian Football Leagues all-time receptions leader and a two-time recipient of the CFL Most Outstanding Canadian award. Selected sixth overall in the 1998 CFL Draft by the Montreal Alouettes, Cahoon spent his entire career in Montreal where he contributed to three Grey Cup championships, including back-to-back titles the past two seasons (2009 and 2010).
Playing Career
All-American, All-WAC Second Team and CSN All-America honorable mention at BYU ... played for the Cougars in 1996 and 1997 ... played two seasons at Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho) ... retired from the CFL in January 2011 with an all-time record of 1,017 regular-season receptions for 13,301 yards, sixth in CFL history, and 65 touchdowns ... finished his playing career as the all-time leading receiver in Grey Cup history with 47 receptions and 666 receiving yards ... CFL's Outstanding Canadian (2002, 2003) and 10-time division all-star.
