CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Cougars (293-296–589) are in seventh after 36 holes of the NCAA Charlottesville Regional on Wednesday afternoon.
Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan is leading BYU after the second day of competition. Barragan shot an even-par 71, highlighted by two consecutive birdies on holes 10 and 11. The sophomore is tied for 23rd place going into the final round.
No. 4 South Carolina continues to hold first place with their 5-under 563. UCLA is six strokes behind them at 1-over 569 and No. 21 Florida, No. 16 Ole Miss and No. 11 Virginia rounded out the top five.
Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul shot a 3-over 74 in today’s round. Aramkul sits tied for 33rd at 6-over par.
Lily McCauley (74-75–149) is tied for 36th place. McCauley made three birdies in today’s round. Seniors Adeline (Anderson) Wach and Alexa Udom are each tied for 41st place.
