Indian Wells, Calif. (March 19, 2005)--BYU's 59th ranked men's tennis team cruised to an easy 6-1 victory over The College of the Desert Saturday night.

Yesterday, after dispatching the NAIA's number on team Azusa Pacific 5-2, the Cougars came out today on fire.

BYU swept College of the Dessert in doubles, easily winning all three matches. BYU's Nima Roshan and Jose Lechuga won 8-4, followed by a Dominik Kaufhold and James Ludlow's 8-2 win. BYU would complete the sweep with Shane Laporte and Jonathan Sanchez's 8-5 win.

The College of the Desert would get on the board and tie the score at 1-1 with Jack Hui's 7-6,6-4 win over BYU's Roshan at number one singles. But that would be their only points as the rest of the Cougars put the smack down, sweeping College of the Desert at 2-6 singles.

BYU returns home after posting 2 wins on the road. BYU is riding a 5 match-winning streak and currently sits at 9-3 overall. The men head up to Boise next weekend for the Boise Invitational.
