BYU men’s golfers Kihei Akina, Drake Harvey and former Cougar Tyson Shelley will compete in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Championship beginning Monday at Merion Golf Club and Philadelphia Country Club.
Peter Kim, Angus Klintworth, Simon Kwon and Tyson Shelley were named 2025-26 Golf Coaches Association of America Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
BYU men’s golfer David Liechty broke the tournament record and became the first player to win the Valley View Amateur and the Mountainland Valley View Open in the same season.
