Boise, Idaho (March 24, 2005)--The 64th ranked BYU men's tennis team blew by the competition in the first round of the Boise Invitational.
In the first round of 16, the number 2 seeded Cougars faced Bradley University who they quickly dispatched. Because the team advanced and would have to play again later that day, both coaches called the match after BYU had won it 4-0.
Next Wichita State fell victim to BYU as the Cougars recorded yet another sweep. BYU overcame Wichita State 7-0.
"Today as a coach I was very pleased with the team unity and they way they came together for each other," said head coach Brad Pearce. "The unity and the team camaraderie showed today is what we have worked all year for."
The men in blue and white take on 28th ranked Texas A&M Corpus Christi tomorrow at nine in the semi-finals.
