Duo Advances Then Loses At Tournament

Tulsa, OK -- BYU's doubles duo of Chip Hand and Jonathan Sanchez easily defeated the TCU duo of Andrew Ulrich and Stuart Row, 8-5, but then dropped a disappointing match to a doubles duo from Northwestern to end their run at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-America Tennis Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tuesday.

In singles action, the Cougars Dominik Kaufhold dropped a disappointing 6-4, 6-1 match to Virginia Tech's Albert Larregola. Teammate James Ludlow also suffered a loss at the hands of another Viriginia Tech player, Nicolas Delgado, 7-5, 6-3 in his singles match.

The men's team continues its fall schedule competing at the ITA All-America Tournament on Oct. 5-6 and then in Salt Lake City, at the University of Utah Invitational, Oct. 7-10.
