PROVO -- The BYU men's tennis team celebrates senior day as it closes out the regular-season against No. 65 UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. Lone senior Jonathan Sanchez will be honored as BYU attempts to improve upon its 14-11 overall record.
After a tough three-match weekend against Mountain West Conference foes, BYU hopes to pull an upset and find some momentum heading into the conference tournament.
Several members of the Cougar team faced UCSB opponents earlier in the fall season at the So Cal Intercollegiate Championship, including freshman Daniel Hwang who defeated Maher Zeidan, the Gauchos' current No. 2 player.
UCSB is coming off a 6-1 loss to No. 13 Pepperdine last Thursday, falling to 11-7 on the season.
Saturday's match is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. MT and will be held at the BYU Outdoor Tennis Courts. Admission is free and BYU "Y Lot" parking is available to all visitors.
