PROVO, Utah – BYU softball has announced its fall schedule Tuesday, which features six home games and two away games.

“We are excited for our fall season," BYU head coach Gordon Eakin said. "It allows us to integrate our new additions to the team and get them aquainted with our system. It also allows us to analyze the new players' skill sets and their future contributions to the team. We can also see how our returning players improved over the summer."

The Cougars are riding off of another successful season. They finished 2016 with a 36-21 record, an eighth-straight conference title and the 12th-consecutive NCAA tournament berth. The team returns reigning two-time West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year McKenna Bull and WCC Player of the Year Ashley Thompson, along with multiple All-WCC players. Additionally, there are six newcomers on the team this year.

The fall exhibition begins with Snow College visiting Provo on Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. MDT, and concludes with a doubleheader on the road at UNLV on Oct. 22, starting at 11:00 a.m. PDT. There are eight total games, seven against Division I schools.

"This fall we have set up an aggressive schedule that will test our veteran team with seven games against Division I schools," Eakin said.

All six home games at Gail Miller Field are free to the public to come and support the team. Fans are also invited to attend the Blue and White scrimmages. The games are all listed below. More information can also be found on the BYU softball schedule page.
