PROVO, Utah – No. 8 BYU women’s soccer (11-1-3, 4-0-3 Big 12) heads to Oklahoma for its final road trip of the regular season for a pair of matches against Oklahoma State (Oct. 12) and Oklahoma (Oct. 16).
Both Thursday and Monday’s matchups are scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT.

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed against Kansas State on South Field Monday night, recording its first-ever Big 12 win at home, 2-0. Fryer got her seventh goal of the season, while Petersen recorded her first. With two assists in Monday’s game, Mozingo has now assisted four-consecutive goals for the Cougars. BYU took a season-high 38 shots against the Wildcats, also tallying a season-high 13 corner kicks.
THE COWGIRLS. Oklahoma State (11-5, Big 12 4-3) last played West Virginia on Sunday, Oct. 8, falling to the Mountaineers 1-0. Xcaret Pineda currently has the most shots for the Cowgirls at 47, while Logan Heausler and Hannah Chance are leading the team in goals with seven apiece.
COUGARS VS. COWGIRLS. BYU and Oklahoma State have met twice previously, with the series tied, 1-1. The last time the two teams met, the then-No. 2 Cowgirls took down the Cougars in overtime, 2-1 at Neal Patterson Stadium.
THE SOONERS. Oklahoma (6-7-2, Big 12 2-3-2) last played Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 8, drawing the Bearcats 0-0. Oklahoma’s top goal-scorer of the season is Emma Hawkins with nine. She also leads the Sooners in shots with 60. The Sooners will face the Texas Longhorns on Thursday, Oct. 12 before facing the Cougars on Oct. 16.
COUGARS VS. SOONERS. BYU and Oklahoma have faced off three times, with BYU leading the overall series, 2-1. The teams last met in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2016, with the Cougars besting the Sooners 2-1. Former Cougs and current NWSL stars Ashley Hatch and Michele Vasconcelos each scored in the win over Oklahoma.
