BYU Gymnastics Announces Three Signees

BYU gymnastics head coach Guard Young announced the signing of three gymnasts this week. The signing period opened on Nov. 8 and closes on Aug. 1, 2024.

PROVO, Utah – BYU gymnastics head coach Guard Young announced the signing of three gymnasts this week. The signing period opened on Nov. 8 and closes on Aug. 1, 2024.

These three new girls will join a BYU squad that finished the 2023 season as the No. 33 team in the nation with a 195.802 average.

Taeva Greenberg

The 5-foot-3 Gilbert, Arizona, native attends Perry High School and trains at Arizona Dynamics. She was also recruited by Western Michigan and Central Michigan.

Notable Accomplishments:

  • 2023 National qualifier

  • 2023 state champion

  • Studied three years of Spanish

  • Maintained A’s and B’s in high school

Chiara Andrew

The 5-foot-4 Chino Valley, Arizona, native attends Chino Valley High School and competes for Arizona Dreams Gymnastics Academy. She was also recruited by the University of Utah, LSU and Penn State.

Notable Accomplishments:

  • Philippine National team member

  • SEA Games gold medalist and floor finalist

  • Level 10 National qualifier

  • US national developmental team for three years

  • Westerns bars and beam champion

Deborah Silva

The 5-foot-2 Lindon, Utah, native attends Pleasant Grove High School and competes for Bold Gymnastics. 

Notable Accomplishments:

  • 2023 National qualifier

  • Elite qualifier

  • 2nd on bars at state
