Diving concludes competition at SMU

DALLAS — BYU diving completed its weekend of competition at the SMU Invite at Barr-McMillion Natatorium on Saturday.

Both men’s and women’s teams competed in platform finals with Brooklyn Larson and Chase Hindmarsh as the Cougars’ top finishers.

Larson scored a 220.60 to take third in the women’s event while Hindmarsh finished fourth for the men at 291.25. Alexia Jackson took fourth for the women at 211.80 and Russell Haws seventh for the men with a 237.85.

BYU swimming will return to action after a week off with athletes competing at the Toyota U.S. Open in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Cougar divers will continue their season at UCLA’s Bruin Diving Invitational in Los Angeles, California Jan. 12-13.
