PROVO, Utah – No. 6 BYU women’s soccer will host No. 13 North Carolina on South Field for the fourth round of the NCAA Tournament Friday evening.
The Cougars earned a No. 1 seed, while UNC earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Friday’s matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT.
The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

THE COUGARS. BYU last competed against Michigan State in the third round of the tournament, besting the Spartans 3-1 on South Field. Mozingo had two goals and an assist on the evening, while Ellie Walrbuch added the third and final goal to secure the win for the Cougars.
THE TAR HEELS. UNC last competed against Texas Tech in the tournament, blanking the Red Raiders 1-0 to advance to the elite eight. A goal by Bella Sember in the 72nd minute secured the victory for the Tar Heels.
COUGARS VS. TAR HEELS. The Cougars and Tar Heels have competed twice previously, with UNC leading the overall series, 2-0. The teams met in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament last season. The Tar Heels defeated the Cougars 3-2 on Dorrance Field, ending BYU’s tournament run.
